The Government had previously proposed to bring the Pay & File date forward in order to provide increased certainty around the annual tax take. The change was considered necessary as a result of the move to an earlier October Budget Day. However, given the accuracy of Budget estimates, the Minister has indicated that the change is no longer necessary.
